Hello, this is Emi. I’m staying in Australia for 3months.
I’ll will talk about many things that I did last week.
First thing I did was, last Wednesday, I cooked Japanese food. I made “nikujaga “. Before I came here, I practiced how to cook it in Japan.I made 2 types of it. The other one didn’t have meat.Because my mum and host sisters are vegetarian. So they can’t eat meat. Also my step mum and her son are muslim. So they can’t eat pork. I used beef.It took about 1hour 30 minutes. It burned a little. But the taste was so good. They liked it.I was so glad. I want to make Japanese food again.
Second thing I did was, last Thursday,I went to the buffet with Japanese students and our coordinator. We had no time limit!! We could eat freely. I don’t often eat meat and fish ,so I ate them. It was so yummy.I became full. Also, last Friday,I went to Indian restaurant with my family. They often go there.I’ve only been there twice.I don’t like spicy food,so I ate mild curry.
Third event that happened, last Saturday,I went to church. I often go to the same church every Saturday. But last week,I went to different church.Because our friend played brass band concert. There were many students in my school (NCC) performed.I was surprised. After,I went to a big park with my host sister and mum’s boyfriend’s son.I met him for the first time. They climbed tall trees.I took many pictures.
And then the big thing happened to me.My family bought 4 chickens!!!They are still too small to lay eggs.Mum paid $20 each.I don’t like animals except dogs.So I couldn’t touch them. They eat grass to grow up.
Do you know the difference of car license in Japan and in Australia? In Japan,we can get car license from 18years old.But in Australia, they can drive from 16 years old.But they must drive with their parents. When they drive with parents, they must take ,”L card”on the car.It becomes a sign to other drivers. They don’t still have full license. My host sister is 17 years old,so she sometimes drives with mum. I was very surprised.
I’ll do my best everyday!!See you again.
